After an unfortunate accident getting bitten by a horse, I had developed a hematoma under my thumbnail. The pressure was causing a lot of pain and making it difficult to work. So I took matters into my own hands and used a battery powered cautery unit to melt a hole in my nail so the blood could escape and lead to immediate pain relief. I’m definitely feeling better now!
